POUGHKEEPSIE – State Assemblywoman Didi Barrett (D-Millbrook) met with the Republican who held her Assembly post until the beginning of the year when Republican Marcus Molinaro became Dutchess County executive.
The two compared notes in Molinaro’s new Poughkeepsie office. Barrett said they are on the same page.
“I think we can look forward to working together; we have the same priorities, economic development and mandate relief and look forward to being able to help the county with those things,” she said after the meeting.
Barrett must seek a full term in the Assembly in November. The Democratic lawmaker has also been endorsed by the Independence Party in her bid for the new 106th District.
